A Viking Energy Crockwell Farm Wedding for Amy and Rob

Some weddings just have a proper vibe from the second you arrive, and Amy and Rob’s day at Crockwell Farm was exactly that. Super relaxed, full of personality, and just a really good time from start to finish!

These two didn’t overcomplicate anything as they leaned into what felt right for them, and the result was a day that felt fun, and honestly… pretty awesome to be part of as Crockwell Farm wedding photographer and videographers

Also, any wedding that involves a full-on Viking axe for cutting the cake is already winning in our books.

Let’s get into it….a viking energy Crockwell Farm wedding for Amy and Rob!

A Crockwell Farm Wedding

The Style

Amy’s look was beautifully understated at this Crockwell Farm wedding. A clean, classic dress with a timeless shape that just worked without trying too hard. It had that stylish, fitted silhouette with lace detailing on the top, giving it just enough texture without overpowering everything else. It photographed so nicely in both soft shade and full sun, which, trust us, is not always an easy combo!

She paired it with a traditional cascading bouquet, which added a slightly more classic, romantic feel to the overall look. Soft pastels mixed with greenery gave it that natural, slightly wild edge without losing that structured shape. It tied in perfectly with the rest of the styling without feeling too done.

Rob, on the other hand… absolute unit (in the best way). Proper Viking energy. His suit was clean and simple, but the overall look came from how he carried it which was relaxed, confident, and completely himself.

Together, they balanced each other out perfectly!!

The Details

The styling throughout this Crockwell Farm wedding leaned into soft, romantic tones with a bit of earthy depth. Inside the reception space, you had those warm draped ceilings with fairy lights, paired with deep green table runners and napkins that added richness without making things feel heavy.

The tables were styled simply but intentionally, gold charger plates, clean white linens, and floral centrepieces that matched Amy’s bouquet so well. Nothing felt over the top, just really nicely put together.

And then… the dessert table!

Honestly, elite. A full spread that not only looked great but also had guests hovering around it all evening (understandably). It added a really fun, relaxed element to the day as it was less formal, more “grab what you fancy and enjoy it.”

The Florals

Florals played a big part in tying everything together. The arrangements at this Crockwell Farm wedding had that slightly loose, organic feel while still keeping a traditional structure, especially in the bouquet and top table display.

Soft pinks, creams, and purples mixed with greenery gave everything a fresh spring feel, which worked so well with the outdoor setting.

Inside, they added warmth and colour without taking over the space, and outside they blended perfectly with the surroundings.

Real Moments

This Crockwell Farm wedding was full of those moments where you just know everyone is having a genuinely good time!

From the surprise car ride organised by Amy’s Maid of Honour (which was such a cool touch) to the absolute chaos in the evening once the music kicked in, it never felt forced or overly structured.

And of course… the cake cut.

Not with a knife. Nope. With a Viking axe from Oldfield Forge. Unreal!!

It’s those kinds of choices that make a wedding feel personal rather than just ticking boxes. It wasn’t done for show but it just fit them, and that’s what made it so good.

Working With the Light

We’ve got to talk about the light, because this was one of those days where the sun was HIGH. Like… middle-of-the-day, no hiding kind of high.

Now, that can be tricky, but also kind of fun if you know how to work with it.

We made the most of the shade (those willow trees came in clutch), which gave us some really soft, natural portraits without anyone squinting or melting.

Then later on at this Crockwell Farm wedding, we leaned into the brighter light for something a bit more bold and contrasty.

But the real magic? Golden hour! We always try to carve out a bit of time for it if we can, and it absolutely paid off here. That softer, warmer light just hits differently as it’s calmer, more flattering, and gives couples a bit of breathing space away from everything else. And yeah… the photos were bangin’.

The Wedding Venue

Crockwell Farm is one of those venues that just works. It’s family-run, which you can feel straight away, and everything is set up to make the day feel relaxed rather than rushed.

The mix of spaces gives loads of flexibility too, from the oak-beamed barn to the light-filled marquee and the gardens outside. Whether you’re going big or keeping things more intimate, it adapts really easily.

One of the biggest perks is the exclusive use over multiple days. It means no rushing in, no rushing out, just time to actually enjoy the experience with your people!

Plus, having accommodation on-site makes everything feel a bit more like a weekend away rather than just a one-day event.

It’s the kind of place where couples can properly settle in and make it their own.

The Wedding Suppliers

Amy and Rob had an awesome group of suppliers helping bring everything together at their Crockwell Farm wedding.

The styling details were supported by The Budget Wedding Company, adding those personal touches throughout the day.

Amy found her dress at Silver Sixpence Brides, paired with shoes from Rainbow Club, while Rob’s look came together with Skopes.

Hair and makeup by Sophie Duffy kept everything looking fresh and natural, and the florals from Divine Blooms Florist tied the whole look together perfectly.

And when it came to the evening party, Petite Rouge Band absolutely delivered with proper energy and a packed dancefloor!
