Champagne Showers; The Wedding of Sophie & Edward

It was a stunning, June day for the wedding of Sophie and Edward at the incredible church of St. Luke’s and the incredible venue – Micklefield Hall. We witnessed some of the most stunning flowers we’ve ever seen bouquet wise but also décor wise from the great Andrew Flemming.

Our day started with Sarah spending time with the wonderful, demure bride, Sophie. Sarah soon spied the stunning Rainbow shoes, Miss Dior perfume and wedding jewellery and took a flat lay shot – some of our favourite shots to take. We love to capture details from our weddings, not just the big moments. You can read all about our approach on our website.

Sophie was already in the glam chair and looked effortlessly fabulous chilling in her white, with black trim and personalised initialled pyjamas. A must have for any bride!

Dan was over with Edward who was shedding a quick tear over the hand written card his wife to be had left to be read on the morning of the big day.

We had just enough time to get some snaps of the bridal squad all glammed up, but still in their pajamas before they got into their outfits for the day.

Time to get Sophie in to her dress, a stunning, sleek, lace detailed dress and matching, delicate veil. She was a vision of beauty as well as a vision of JOY as she pranced around the room, energy high, ready to marry the man of her dreams.

Dan was with Edward as the guests started appearing at St.Luke’s Church where the couple were due to be married. The nerves were kicking in, but only ever so slightly, as the time approached for Sophie to arrive.

We witnessed a stunning service with the couple elated that they had tied the knot! A quick moment to greet guests outside the church and it was on to the venue.

We adore Micklefield, mainly for its stunning beauty, but also for its incredible grounds. We always feel that there is so much space for us to roam around and snap the happy couple which is exactly what we did with Sophie and Edward.

The gardens were in full-swing-June-bloom, so we took a stroll around them snapping the newlyweds with a candid approach.

We stayed outside for the confetti throwing and took the chance to keep the groups outside so we could capture the bridal party group photos. Time for a few more shots of the lovebirds, (and a quick game of Croquet)  before we moved inside for the breakfast and speeches.

The speeches were stunning and we adored capturing the guests reactions to the sweet stories that were told.

Cake cutting and first dance but not before another stroll around to try and capture Golden Hour. We could have photographed Sophie and Edward for days, capturing their true love for one another.

The team opted for sunglasses, decorated in bright stickers and with Sophie and Edward written on the lenses which made for incredible photos (if we do say so ourselves).

One last moment to capture before it was back to the dancefloor and back to our beds for us and that was a champagne shower from the two!

All in all, we had a phenomenal day and wish the happy couple their truly deserved, happy ever after!
