Wedding at Horwood House

Horwood House

Let’s talk about Horwood House – what an awesome wedding venue in Buckinghamshire! In the countryside, this Grade II listed manor house is packed with character. (Also recently renovated, and we’ve heard the spa is pretty epic)

As you drive down the treelined driveway, you can’t help but feel a little buzz of excitement. It’s like the start of something epic, and trust us, it really is.

Built in 1911, the Manor House has that timeless feel to it, with carved fireplaces, gorgeous bay leaded windows, and big chandeliers that look straight out of a period drama. Thanks to a recent £6million refurbishment, the venue now combines its history with a modern luxury vibe.

Whether you’re planning a cosy ceremony or an all-out party, Horwood House has options for everyone. The couple can exchange vows beneath the ancient oak tree, on the wisteria-covered steps of the Manor House, or inside the stylish Drawing Room.

And for the reception? There are light-filled spaces and two impressive suites that can accommodate up to 250 guests.

But it’s not just about the big day. This venue goes above and beyond to make your wedding at Horwood House an experience

With 156 bedrooms on site, your guests can stay over and really make the most of the event. There’s also a spa for a pre-wedding pamper or a post-wedding wind-down, complete with a couples massage for the newlyweds.

It’s clear the team here knows how to make your wedding day as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. And did we mention it’s dog-friendly? Bring your furry friends along for the fun – how awesome is that?!

Wedding Day Highlights for Edward and Samantha

Edward and Samantha’s wedding at Horwood House was absolutely packed with memorable moments! The ceremony was held outdoors on the Manor House steps, and it was such a romantic setting. We had Grandad basically shooting alongside us all day, it was truly lovely and he was basically my wedding bestie for the day!

Now, you’ve got to love a wedding with personality, and these two certainly delivered. They arrived in true countryside style – a tractor courtesy of Tuckwells Ltd (John Deere Dealer), which got plenty of laughs and definitely turned heads.

To top it off, a horse and carriage from The Ostler Ltd brought in a touch of classic fairytale vibes. Honestly, it was a perfect mix of fun and tradition!

The reception was full of great vibes, with House and Manor Entertainment providing the tunes. The dancefloor was packed all night, and the DJ really nailed the brief, keeping the energy high.

And let’s not forget the magician, Colin Reid, who wowed the guests with his mind-blowing tricks. Seeing everyone’s reactions was priceless – what a legend!

There were also loads of lovely little details, from the sweet cart and light-up letters by H.A.W.K to the beautifully designed stationery by Anna Jayne Designs. Every element added something epic to the day, and it all came together so perfectly.

Wedding Supplier Spotlights – Flowers, Cake, Entertainment, and More

We’ve got to give a shout-out to the amazing suppliers who made Edward and Samantha’s day truly awesome.

The flowers, created by The Flower Room Sandy Ltd, were absolutely gorgeous. Locally sourced and featuring British blooms in season, the arrangements were vibrant and full of life. The team at The Flower Room Sandy Ltd are an independent, award-winning florist, and it’s clear they really care about what they do.

Then there was the cake – an edible work of art. The cake designer specialises in sugar floristry, and you could see the love and care that went into every handmade detail. Not only did it look amazing, but it also tasted as good as it looked!

House and Manor Entertainment kept the party going with their expert DJ services. They know how to get a crowd going, and the music was on point from start to finish!

The stationery by Anna Jayne Designs added such a personal touch. Anna’s watercolour creations are so pretty and unique, and they set the tone for the day beautifully. Her work is one of a kind.

Other highlights included the horse and carriage from The Ostler Ltd, which brought a bit of old-school style, and the tractor by Tuckwells Ltd, which added a quirky and fun twist.

And let’s not forget H.A.W.K, who provided the sweet cart and those brilliant light-up letters, adding a playful touch to the décor.

Finally, a big round of applause for Colin Reid, the magician who had everyone completely captivated. His tricks were next-level, and he brought so much fun and energy to the day. Absolute legend.
