Bassmead Manor Barns
Bassmead Manor Barns is one of those places that feels like it was made for weddings, without feeling like a “wedding factory”. The venue has a modern and relaxed vibe.
The 300-year-old Rickety Barn, with its oak beams and iron chandeliers, provided an epic setting for Erin and George’s ceremony.
One of the coolest features at this summer wedding at Bassmead Manor Barns was The Thatched Bower, an outdoor ceremony space that overlooks young woodland. While Erin and George chose to say “I do” inside in the classic and cosy Rickety Barn, the outdoor space is a great option!
The Bridge Barn provides a wonderful transition into a more modern, light space, perfect for their reception space, where everyone ate, drank, and partied the night away.
And let’s not forget the incredible food – the in-house team delivered delicious dishes that perfectly complemented the relaxed, summery vibe of the day.

The Wedding Day Details
Every detail of Erin and George’s summer wedding at Bassmead Manor Barns felt personal and full of love.
Erin looked absolutely lovely in her dress from Serendipity Brides, with the perfect mix of stylish and comfort (because no one should have to sacrifice comfort for fashion!). She paired it with flats from MonoStoreVN on Etsy for the evening, proving that practicality can still be stylish. Her bridesmaids looked fab in their dresses from JJ’s House, all smiles and laughter as they stood by Erin’s side.
George rocked a suit from Moss Bros, paired with boots from RM Williams, which added a fun touch of personality to his look. The groomsmen were all dapper, but George definitely stole the show with his effortless style.
When it came to decor, Erin and George kept it simple and meaningful. Ceremony flowers and bouquets were put together by Rosehip Florist, who nailed the couple’s vision with natural, romantic arrangements.
Table flowers were DIYed by Erin’s family using blooms from Saxon Gate Flowers which was a lovely personal touch!
Music for the day was provided by the brilliant Roxy Searle, who worked with Erin and George to create a setlist that was unique to them.
And when it was time to hit the dancefloor, Strobe Disco Roadshow brought the party vibes.
The lighting and sound were epic, and it’s safe to say there were some questionable dance moves happening by the end of the night (we’re looking at you, George!).
The entertainment didn’t stop there. Over the Rainbow Weddings provided garden games for guests to enjoy, and The Burbage Booth Co brought the laughs with their luxury photo booth. Both were big hits and kept the good times rolling throughout the day.
One of the real MVPs of the day was Katy Whitlock, aka The Bride Assist. Erin brought Katy on board to handle the behind-the-scenes chaos and ensure everything ran smoothly. From making sure Erin/George had a constant point of contact, to keeping the little details on point, Katy’s support was invaluable. If you’re looking for peace of mind on your wedding day, we can’t recommend her enough!

The Suppliers and Special Touches
Every single wedding supplier played a part in making Erin and George’s summer wedding at Bassmead Manor Barns so special.
Charli Smith handled both hair and makeup, ensuring Erin and her bridal party felt pampered and camera-ready. Charli’s attention to detail and calm presence made the morning prep a dream.
The florists, Rosehip Florist and Saxon Gate Flowers, brought the couple’s floral vision to life, combining professional expertise with family contributions.
And let’s not forget the cake which was made by Erin’s family! Trust us, it tasted as good as it looked!
We also have to shout out Bassmead Manor Barns’ team of coordinators, who were brilliant. While Katy handled the nitty-gritty details for Erin, the venue staff ensured everything flowed seamlessly, from ceremony to reception.
