Georgia and Laurence’s Bassmead Manor Barns Wedding

When we say we could cry we’re so happy, we’re genuinely not exaggerating. Georgia and Laurence’s wedding was one of those days that just hits you right in the feelings from start to finish. After what felt like endless rubbish weather, the clouds finally gave it a rest and delivered the most glorious sunshine imaginable.

Honestly… it felt meant to be. Absolute scenes!

From the moment we arrived, there was this buzz in the air. Laughter, excitement, a few happy nerves…all the good stuff. These two are such legends, and their energy just set the tone for the entire day.

As wedding photographer and videographer, we are going to tell you about Georgia and Laurence’s Basemead Manor Barns wedding.

A Bassmead Manor Barns Wedding

A Dream Setting at Bassmead Manor Barns

If you’ve never been to Bassmead Manor Barns, let us paint the picture. It’s tucked away in the Cambridgeshire countryside, surrounded by acres of peaceful, ridiculously pretty land. Think romantic, calm, and just a little bit magical.

The venue itself sits within a medieval moat (yes, really), which already gives it that “this is going to be special” feeling. You’ve got this beautiful mix of old and new which is a 300-year-old timber barn full of character for the ceremony, alongside modern, light-filled spaces like the Bridge Barn that are just chef’s kiss for photos.

Georgia and Laurence made the most of everything the venue had to offer. The outdoor spaces, the gardens, the warm, inviting interiors… it all came together so effortlessly. It’s one of those places where every corner is a photo opportunity, and we were absolutely in our element at this Basemead Manor Barns wedding!

The Morning Vibes

The morning was everything you want from wedding prep. It was relaxed, full of laughs, and just the right amount of chaos. Georgia was surrounded by her favourite people, and the atmosphere was pure excitement.

Her dress from Lotte Rose Bridal was an absolute showstopper. Stylish and completely her. The whole vibe was effortlessly cool but still super bridal which is the kind of look that makes you do a double take.

Chloe Eleanor worked her magic on makeup, creating a look that was glowing, fresh, and perfect for this Basemead Manor Barns wedding. It held up through all the emotions and definitely a few happy tears!

Meanwhile, Laurence and the lads were bringing the energy in their own way with a mix of banter, and a lot of “is it time yet?” moments. We love this part of the day because it’s real and full of personality!

A Ceremony Full of Feeling

The ceremony took place in the barn, and wow… just wow. There’s something about that space with the wooden beams, the light and the history in the walls, that makes everything feel a bit more meaningful.

Georgia walking down the aisle was one of those moments where everything just pauses. Laurence’s reaction said it all. Pure emotion, pure love. We’re not crying, you are!!

You could feel how much they mean to each other, and honestly, that’s what it’s all about.

Sunshine, Confetti & Good Times

Coming out into that sunshine after the ceremony was unreal. The confetti moment? Elite. So much colour, so much happiness, and a lot of very enthusiastic throwing which is exactly how it should be!

This is where we really get to do our thing. We’re big on keeping things natural and fun, so rather than pulling people away for ages, we just blend in, hype things up, and capture what’s actually happening.

Guests chatting, drinks flowing, laughter everywhere at this Basemead Manor Barns wedding…it was one of those afternoons where everything just clicks. And because Georgia and Laurence are such legends, everyone felt totally at ease, which makes for the best photos!

Portraits Without the Awkwardness

We always say this, but couples don’t need to “perform” for photos. Georgia and Laurence absolutely proved that.

We snuck away for a few relaxed portrait moments around the grounds, making the most of that dreamy light and the insane backdrop. No awkward vibes but just the two of them being themselves.

A bit of walking, a bit of chatting, a few laughs… and boom, magic. That’s honestly the secret.

And yes, as Bassmead Manor Barns wedding photographers, we will absolutely hype you up the whole time. It’s kind of our thing!!

The Details That Made It Personal

Every part of this Basemead Manor Barns wedding had thought behind it. The flowers from Gin House Flowers were stunning as they were full of texture, colour, and personality. They tied everything together beautifully.

One of the most meaningful touches came from EverWith Memorial Jewellery. Having a way to carry loved ones with you on such a big day is incredibly special, and it added a really emotional element that didn’t go unnoticed. Georgia’s mum was with her the whole day in a way, it was really lovely.

These little details might seem small, but they’re what make a wedding feel really personal. Georgia and Laurence nailed that balance of style and meaning.

Speeches, Food & Dancefloor Chaos

The speeches were exactly what you want. They were a mix of hilarious stories, emotional moments, and just enough embarrassment to keep things interesting. There were a lot of laughs, a few tears, and a whole lot of love in that room.

As the evening rolled in, the energy shifted into full celebration mode. Strobe Disco Roadshow absolutely smashed it, keeping the dancefloor packed from start to finish.

And this is where things got fun. Proper dancing, no holding back, everyone involved. The kind of party where you look around and think, “Yep, this is what it’s all about.”

We’re always up for getting right in the middle of it (without being intrusive, promise). That’s how you capture the real moments. The ones people actually remember!

Why We Loved This One So Much

There was just something about this Basemead Manor Barns wedding. Maybe it was the sunshine after weeks of grey skies. Maybe it was how effortlessly everything came together. But mostly, it was Georgia and Laurence.

They’re the kind of couple who just make you feel welcome instantly. The kind where guests assume you’ve known them for years… even if you’ve only just met. That’s always the vibe we aim for, and with these two, it came naturally.

We’re a bit like excitable golden retrievers at weddings. We’ll hype you up, get stuck in, and do whatever it takes to get the best moments. But we also know when to step back and let things happen. It’s a balance, and days like this remind us why we love what we do so much!
