Bassmead Manor Barns
Bassmead Manor Barns is a wedding venue in Cambridgeshire that is nothing short of awesome. This venue perfectly combines it’s history with modern style, making it a dream location for any wedding.
Keyley and Lee chose to get married in the 300-year-old Rickety Barn, which offers so much character with its oak beams and wrought iron chandeliers. For couples who love the outdoors, there’s also The Thatched Bower which is a gorgeous outdoor ceremony space that’s ideal for warmer months, but there is something extra special about the fairy lights and beams of the rickety barn, we’ll admit.
Post-ceremony, everyone gathered in the Moat Barn for drinks, with guests spilling out into the gardens. The venue’s resident peacock was definitely a hit, adding a quirky touch to the day. And although everyone clapped and cheered Keyley down the aisle (amazing btw), this is where the party really got going, dancing and singing along to Cara outside, ALL AFTERNOON.

The receptiontook place in the Bridge Barn, which is a bright space with views across the gardens and moat. More parting, obv.
As for the food, Bassmead knows how to spoil its guests! The dining experience here is proper next level. Whether it’s family-style sharing boards or wood-fired pizzas made fresh in the evening, every bite is full of flavour. We recommend the scotch egg starter every time.
And let’s not forget the drinks – from signature cocktails to sustainably sourced wines, there’s something for everyone. The bar staff are on it here!
After the dancing during their wedding at Bassmead Manor Barns, Keyley and Lee stayed in Dove Cottage, their own cosy honeymoon retreat, while close family and friends stayed in the beautiful Appletree Cottage.
Bride and Groom Outfits
Keyley looked absolutely amazing in her gown from Cinderella Rose Bridal, who specialise in stunning wedding dresses by Sophia Tolli, Essense of Australia, and more. She completed her look with Charlotte Mills shoes – stylish designs made for dancing the night away. Bonus points: they’re the kind of bridal shoes you can actually wear again! Girl crush engaged, 100%.

Lee didn’t disappoint either. His sharp suit from House of Cavani was a total winner. Very dapper!
Together, these two looked every bit the power couple at their wedding at Bassmead Manor Barns, and we’re still talking about it now to be honest.
Bridesmaids and Hair & Makeup
Keyley’s bridesmaids were dressed in gorgeous gowns from Six Stories, and the colour and style perfectly complemented the vibe of the day. The girls looked beautiful but still super comfortable, which is key for a day filled with dancing and laughs.

Hair and makeup were handled by the talented Yuki Black and Ugly Duckling Cosmetics. Yuki’s skills as a hair and makeup artist brought out everyone’s natural beauty, while keeping the look fresh and relaxed. She’s an expert at creating a chilled-out atmosphere, so the girls could sip bubbly and enjoy the morning.
Amber from Ugly Duckling Cosmetics worked her magic too, using her broad range of skills to make everyone look flawless! From the bride to the bridal party, everyone looked and felt fantastic during Keyley and Lee’s wedding at Bassmead Manor Barns.

Flowers, Cake, and Catering
The flowers by The Styled Chapter were absolutely epic. From the bouquets to the centrepieces, every arrangement added a pop of colour and personality to the day. They perfectly complemented the rustic vibe of the venue, tying everything together!
The cake, created by J Bakes Cakes, was another highlight. Buttercream perfection with a 5-star hygiene rating? Yes, please! J Bakes absolutely nailed it with a design that was as delicious as it was pretty.
And of course, the catering from Bassmead Manor Barns was on point, with standout dishes and evening street food that kept everyone fuelled for the dancefloor!

Entertainment and Special Touches
When it came to entertainment at this wedding at Bassmead Manor Barns, Keyley and Lee went all out. The DJ from Strobe Disco Roadshow kept the energy high all night with a playlist tailored to their favourite tunes. The dancefloor was packed – even the grandparents couldn’t resist busting a move to D&B!
The live music from Cara Bead Music was another standout. She can cover anything from 60s classics to Paramore, adding extra fun to the day.
There was also an audio guestbook for guests to leave lovely (and sometimes hilarious) messages – by Starfish Selfies.

Stationery and Celebrant
The stationery by Gabriella Alanni Creative, who also happened to be one of the bridesmaids, was nothing short of awesome. Gabriella’s bold and colourful designs added such a personal touch to the day, tying the aesthetic together perfectly.
The celebrant, Gandalf Gill Vidal, brought so much life and personality to the ceremony. His mission to create fun, personal ceremonies was clear from the start. With his charisma, he had everyone smiling, laughing, and maybe even tearing up a bit during the vows.

The Party Atmosphere
If there’s one word to describe Keyley and Lee’s wedding at Bassmead Manor Barns, it’s “party.” From the moment the ceremony ended, the celebrations kicked off, with whooping, cheering, and a fair bit of aisle dancing.
The dancefloor was the place to be, and it was packed all night. The vibe was so infectious that even the grandparents got involved in the d&b tunes – absolute legends!
This was the kind of wedding where you couldn’t help but smile and join in the fun. It was a day filled with laughter, music, and memories that everyone will appreciate forever.
