Phoebe and David absolutely nailed creating an autumn wedding at Shuttleworth House that was 100% “them.”
Their laid-back and fun approach to the day made it so special, not just for them, but for every guest involved (including us!).
Here’s a little run-down of what made it really awesome…
First off, let’s talk about their venue. Shuttleworth House – a wedding venue in Bedfordshire. It is an absolute gem, and they made full use of it.
The ceremony was held in the Grotto & Fernery, and honestly, this is one of the most magical and intimate settings we’ve ever seen. The Grotto has this intimate, earthy vibe that feels like you’ve stepped into another world, and it suited Phoebe and David perfectly.
The fact that Shuttleworth offers so many unique options, from the Swiss Garden to the parkland, makes it an incredible place to celebrate.
Now, onto Maurice. What’s a wedding without your furry family member, right?! Maurice, their cat, stopped by for a quick cuddle and photo op, all decked out in the most dashing bow tie we’ve ever seen. Honestly, can we just say legend status achieved? Pets at weddings are always a win in our book, and Maurice was no exception.
The vibe of their autumn wedding at Shuttleworth House was chilled and fun, which is exactly what we love. Phoebe and David planned a mid-day nap, and while we weren’t napping ourselves (because, you know, photos and all that), we have to applaud the genius of it. Weddings can be full-on, so having that little breather for everyone to recharge before more guests turned up, was a stroke of brilliance.
Oh, and can we talk about the fact that there were zero speeches? While speeches can be emotional and beautiful, this couple kept it simple and skipped them altogether. Instead, everyone focused on soaking up the good vibes, amazing food, and endless dancing. It was a bold choice, and it totally worked for them!

@morgan_davies_bridal provided Phoebe’s gown and INCREDIBLE cape and it was nothing short of show-stopping. Morgan Davies Bridal have such an incredible selection, and the dress she chose was dreamy — romantic yet modern, and so her!
@fredabennet — Special shoutout to the team at Freda Bennet for their eye for feminine yet strong bridal designs.
@theweddingworkshopampthill in Ampthill is where magic happens. Their bespoke designs are a awesome, and the care they put into creating unique bridal looks is unmatched.
@prudenandsmith provided the rings and they were handcrafted perfection. Pruden and Smith have such a talent for creating jewellery that’s not only beautiful but meaningful and they create pieces that are really something to treasure forever.
@thebrotherssupper — The food? Legendary. These guys pulled out all the stops with a bespoke, seasonal menu that had everyone raving. From canapés to burgers, every bite was packed with flavour and creativity.
@hairandmakeupbygabrielle worked her magic on Phoebe’s hair and makeup, giving her a look that was natural, radiant, and soooo effortlessly beautiful. She’s a true pro, and her warm, calm energy made the morning prep such a lovely experience!
