Fun wedding at Notley Tythe Barn
When we found out the other suppliers supporting David and Rachel on their wedding day at Notley Tythe Barn, we knew it was going to be a good ‘un! Rachel asked us for a few recommendations, and seeing as we’re super happy to talk weddings, we sent her the details of a few of our favourite people. We’ve shot almost 300(!) weddings now, so we’ve been around the block around the few times. Rachel got her dress from one of our favourite bridal shops, from Lizzy, a florist who is on top of her game around these parts, and the beauty team we scoured google for and used for our own wedding, the K-team!
Needless to say, Rachel and her girls looked classically stunning, clutching beautifully put together florals to compliment the colour palette our couple had chosen to represent their wedding day. No part of Notley Tythe Barn was left undecorated, with purple lanterns and rustic florals – Even the bear outside wore a floral crown! A simple touch that fascinated the guests (and Sarah)! Whilst we took David and Rachel off for a few minutes to bathe in that ‘just married’ glory and get some photographs on the grounds, the guests played garden games and abused the bouncy castle. All that said, we especially loved the fantasy touch to the table names, and the lord of the rings, harry potter music that played amongst the chatter of the wedding breakfast – Just awesome. (We had a smidge of fun time dancing around with the wedding co-ordinator to Frozen during dinner, too)!
The very beginning of the day was emotional, and it was a sign of things to come. Weddings are always emotional, especially for the family and friends that love you so dearly, but we do find ourselves having to hide behind our cameras a few times, too. We love getting to know you, your friends and your family – This way we’re involved in your story and can document it truly, which is what we love to do most. Whilst at the heart of weddings are two people that love each other so much, its always so lovely to see so much effort put into a day that represents you both as a couple, and who you are.
These are the best days of your lives, and we’re, even almost 300 weddings later, absolutely stoked that we get to spend them with you!
David and Rachel, thank you for having us along for the ride!
