Redhouse Barn Wedding – Ed & Joanne

These guys booked us for their wedding at Redhouse Barn after seeing us at a few of their friends weddings. We receive a lot of bookings via word of mouth, but so many more from wedding guests that have attended weddings we’ve shot in the past. Its a compliment in the highest regard because they’ve obviously seen us in action already!

A barn wedding venue with a twist – Redhouse Barn

Jo and Ed got married in the most beautiful 18th century barn in Bromsgrove. With the most beautiful elm beams and a white exterior, its different from many other barns we’ve seen. And surrounded by modest gardens, it creates a stunning wedding venue that was perfect for these two and their laid back vibe.

They got lucky with the weather, and they got married in the side barn with the garden doors open. There was a nice breeze and incredible plumes of light that we clocked – We used that again later on to create some of our all times favourite images with these two.

Ed and Jo are clearly made for one another – The look on both of their faces when they saw one another! (And throughout the rest of the day, really).
Jo also took the title of the most excited bride we’ve ever seen during bridal prep as she jumped up onto the bed and danced – Definitely not a bad thing!

Rustic but luxe

The main barn was tastefully lit with pink lights, rustic illuminated ‘LOVE’ letters and some awesome rented trees – Who know you could do that? Finished off with tall candelabras and giant balloons, the barn looked pretty epic. The speeches were finished off with wedding bingo (including prizes) and the presentation of Jo’s childhood bear dressed in a suit.

The evening started off amazingly, as Ed’s band got things going straight away despite it still being light outside! We’ve heard Apollo Soul play at a few weddings now and we recommend them every time – They’re not your typical covers band, with brass and awesome vocals that just makes the dance floor so much more interesting and dynamic.

Since their wedding day, Ed and Jo are now expecting twins and we could not be happier for the pair of them. We know you’ll make fantastic parents. Over and out!

If you’re getting married at Redhouse Barn, where we’re recommended photographers, or anywhere else for that matter, drop us a line! You can see more ‘real weddings’ right here, too.
