We had the absolute pleasure of photographing Caroline and Tom’s wedding at the awesome South Farm in Cambridgeshire. This venue is something else – countryside vibes with a proper commitment to sustainability, and it holds a special place in our hearts because we also got married there ourselves back in 2016!
It’s always a bit of a trip down memory lane every time we go back. Caroline and Tom were an absolute legend of a couple – laid-back, fun, and just really cool to work with.
As Cambridgeshire wedding photographers, we are going to tell you all about this wedding at South Farm in Cambridgeshire for Caroline and Tom…

Wedding at South Farm in Cambridgeshire
About South Farm
South Farm is a hidden wedding venue in the Cambridgeshire countryside. It’s just under an hour from London but feels a million miles away from the hustle and bustle.
This family-run venue is all about being self-sustainable – they grow their own veg, keep animals onsite (the pigs are a highlight!), and the owners actually live there too, which gives it such a homely and welcoming vibe.
The venue itself is proper versatile, with loads of options for your ceremony, whether you want something indoors or outside. You can say “I do” in spaces like the Old Dairy or the Tudor Barn, or if the weather’s playing ball, there’s the Summer House in the gardens.
After the ceremony, the gardens are perfect for a drinks reception, complete with lawn games and a bar setup. The barns are really spacious, giving you the freedom to really make the reception your own at your wedding at South Farm in Cambridgeshire.
Plus, the onsite accommodation is brilliant, with everything from cosy rooms to quirky Romany caravans and even camping if that’s your thing!

Wedding Day Highlights – Caroline and Tom
Caroline and Tom were honestly a dream to photograph. They’re not big on being the centre of attention or doing loads of posed couple shots, which is totally fine by us as we’re all about keeping things relaxed and natural.
Our laid-back style seemed to suit them perfectly, and we managed to capture some lovely, genuine moments. You’d never guess they were a bit nervous, would you?!
One of the funniest moments of the day came courtesy of yours truly – I managed to fall into the pond while walking backwards to get the perfect shot. Talk about making an impression, eh? Everyone was in stitches, especially because it was the groom, Tom, who came to my rescue while Dan just stood there laughing.
To be fair, it did help break the ice, and we all had a proper laugh about it afterwards!
We also HAD to get some photos with the pigs. It’s kind of a South Farm tradition, isn’t it? And honestly, who doesn’t want wedding photos with a couple of friendly pigs in the background? It was little touches like this that really made this wedding at South Farm in Cambridgeshire feel legendary.

Unique Details and Personal Touches
One of the things we loved most about Caroline and Tom’s wedding was how personal they made everything. They created all their own stationery, and it was absolutely brilliant.
Tom painted the menus and even drew caricatures of every guest for the place names on the tables – I mean, how cool is that?! It’s little touches like these that really make a wedding feel extra personal.

The suppliers they chose for their wedding at South Farm in Cambridgeshire were equally awesome. Caroline’s dress was from Lumi Bridal, a fab destination for modern brides who want something a bit different from the traditional. She looked absolutely incredible.
Tom’s suit was from King & Allen, a super-inclusive tailoring brand that’s all about helping people find their perfect fit.
For hair and makeup, they worked with Alev Miller, who has this amazing talent for keeping things natural while making you feel like the best version of yourself.
Flowers were done by Violets and Velvet, who nailed that naturalistic, just-picked look that we love so much, using British flowers wherever possible.
And let’s not forget the band – Soul Movement were brilliant. They got everyone up and dancing with their mix of soul, pop, and party anthems, and they even learned Caroline and Tom’s first dance song, especially for them.
It’s little things like that which really make a difference, don’t they?
