Bassmead Manor Barns wedding photography and video – Lauren & Ryan

IS THIS THE MOST EPIC WEDDING OF ALL TIME? Have a little gander, and we’ll let you decide.

CUTEST FLOWER GIRL YOU’VE EVER SEEN. CRISP CRATES. GARDEN GAMES. DOGS. GIANT SPARKLERS. STUNT PILOT SHOW. You name it, this Bassmead manor barns wedding HAD it.

First up to get ready was the stunning Lauren who donned an incredible dress with a beautiful, detailed train and rocked a pair of incredible light bronze Linzi shoes. Her bouquet was made up with tones of beige and light pink flowers, a gorgeous contrast to her bridesmaids who were wearing a dark maroon colour, beautifully complimenting all five of them.

The Groomsmen certainly didn’t disappoint looking dapper as ever in their navy suits matched with sunglasses on this beautiful Summers day.

We witnessed, perhaps THE cutest flower girl you’ve ever seen and we even captured a moment of her wearing the brides dress – a photo to be saved for many years to come, for sure!

There were lots of tears early on prior to the ceremony, as personalised letters were read (and that was just the Groom’s side!)

Post ceremony, there was plenty to do to keep the children entertained including garden games, space boppers, bubbles, hook a duck and so much more.

Props a plenty for photo opportunities. We’ve seen a huge increase in the amount of heart shaped sunglasses with couples names on them and we are HERE for it. They make EPIC photos and we’re pretty big throughout 2023!

It really was as George Ezra described; green, green grass and blue, blue skies as we took a stroll outside to get those all important family snaps. Capturing perhaps some of the most special shots, we were graced with stunning sunshine accompanied by a backdrop of the gorgeous Bassmead grounds.

Taking a break from family shots meant the two doggos could get involved. Introducing Lauren & Ryan’s German Shepherd and Cockapoo. If you’re wondering whether to have your dogs involved, DO!

The décor for the wedding breakfast was a simple and stunning wooden/scandi vibe. Log slices acted as the centre piece and little jars of flowers graced the tables. Every little detail had been thought about to ensure the kids had a good time. Wedding themed activity books and colouring sheets were on the tables ready for the children to get their hands on.

Tearful speeches were on the agenda next, with even Lauren taking the microphone to have her five minutes of fame. Who could forget, it was also Nana’s birthday who was given a snazzy pair of white sunglasses with black lenses and birthday nana written on them making her the ultimate rockstar of the day.

Time for some cake. Lauren & Ryan opted for a simple three layers cake in stunning off white with real flowers on the side and little gold foil details dotted around it.

Moving on outside to get those glamorous golden hour shots, we were greeted by THE Bassmead male peacocks strutting their stuff around the Bassmead grounds. The energy didn’t slow down as Lauren & Ryan took a celebratory shot to toast themselves. It’s so cliché to say, but the day goes by in a flash (no pun intended), so these rare moments to yourselves to celebrate YOU are so important.

Now for the sunset shots. WOOF. What a sunset we got. They really do call it golden hour for a reason and we took some of our favourite shots ever with the sun beaming through the couple, leaving stunning silhouettes.

It was time for our very own Dan to take to the floor as The Greatest Showman with a job to keep the crowd entertained as to distract them for an upcoming surprise. We’re photographers but we don’t mind lending Dan out to a few other jobs, haha! He did a great job getting the BIGGEST GROUPSHOT EVER as well as drone footage and even threw in a cheeky Mexican wave. Literally just to kill time.

In came a stunt pilot show. Yes, you heard correct. Swirling through the sky came a big surprise for Groom Ryan. The plane swished and swooshed through the dusk sky and even created the shape of a love heart for all to see before jetting off into the sunset.

Time to hit the dancefloor and boy, this lot did not disappoint. It’s time for the first dance and a moment for the dress if there weren’t already 1,000 of them! Lauren’s trail swished through the air as she was gracefully picked up by Ryan during their first dance. Guests shortly came piling in to dance the night away and even had glowsticks to get the party started.

We’re not done yet. Cue the biggest sparklers you’ve ever seen for the Bride & Groom followed by a sparkler line with all the guests present.

This wedding was quite simply, EPIC and we loved spending the day with Lauren, Ryan and their guests. A huge thank you to everyone at Bassmead Manors too – one of our favourite venues to shoot at and work with.
