Emma and Matt got married at South Farm, which is a quirky barn in Royston with stunning grounds. It was such a fun wedding and even the weather played ball! We bloomin’ love a South Farm wedding!

The ceremony

The ceremony was an intimate affair in the main barn. During the ceremony they read their own vows. It was a real tear-jerker.

They decorated the area with succulents, which I loved. The reception was in the barn at South Farm – I love this venue because its a bit different for a barn venue (they have pigs and grow all their own veg) and we got married there, so its sentimental, too. Weddings at South Farm are amazing, because the food is just incredible.

Why South Farm is a great place to get married

South Farm has a really laid-back vibe, and is one of the coolest places to get married in Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire. The venue offers romany caravans to sleep in – and there is a stunning, fairy lit driveway, perfect for photos.

The party

The couple had drinks and canapes in the afternoon, and a photobooth in the evening. During dinner secret singing waiters did their thing and got everyone (EVERYONE) on chairs, swinging napkins and dancing, singing and laughing. For dinner they had proper wedding grub, and the first dance was to their favourite song. They finished off the evening with yet more food, delish.

The couple

Emma wore a classic white dress and Matt wore a navy suit and they looked really dapper. When I first saw Emma’s dress I knew she’d look amazing in the low winter sun as it caught the light perfectly, and honestly, those hollywood waves! Swoon.

The couple got in touch with me ages ago. They said they wanted a relaxed photographer, and I loved that they just wanted to party and eat cake. We actually bumped into them again when we turned up to another wedding and Emma was a bridesmaid! And that bride was now her bridesmaid – We do love it when that happens, and we often end up shooting whole friend groups which is awesome.

“You would be crazy not to choose Dan and Sarah for you wedding! They are an absolute dream to be around and made us both just laugh all day! Our guests loved them too The photos we have seen so far are more than we ever thought they would be! We are sooooo happy Thanks so much guys! “
