COSY WINTER WEDDING AT TYTHE BARN IN LAUNTON – ZOE & SCOTT

IF YOU LOVE THE COSINESS OF WINTER THEN YOU’LL ENJOY THIS TYTHE BARN IN LAUNTON WEDDING!

Zoe and Scott got married at the rustic Tythe Barn in Launton, last November. It was a wonderful wintery wedding, with movie decor on the tables and wintery decor everywhere.

Getting ready

Zoe got ready in the bridal suite at the Tythe Barn, Launton with her bridesmaids, mum and little girl, and there was such a relaxed vibe. The bridal nook is especially awesome, with designated ‘places’ for all the bits and bobs and multiple industrial looking lit mirrors out in the front. Zoe wore a stunning bardot dress (with pockets)! from Butterfly Bridal, and looked so stunning. There were a few special details in the morning – Zoe had her late granddads harmonica with her. He meant a lot to her, and the harmonica represented him, so we used it in a few details shots. When we were all ready, the bride walked together with her dad to get to the ceremony.

From the back of Tythe Barn, you can see the bridal party waiting to enter, as well as everyone anxiously waiting to see the bride (that includes the groom). Whilst Dan was at the front with Scott who was feeling nervous, Sarah was capturing the bigger picture. This is why we love shooting together, to tell the WHOLE story from two unique perspectives.

Scott got ready at home with his groomsmen and their little boy. He wore an awesome Marc Darcy suit, and looked really funky. He travelled to the ceremony in time to greet all of their guests as the sun shone.

The ceremony

The ceremony took place in the Tythe Barn in Launton. The ceremony area was lit by fairy lights, which was perfect for the surroundings, because it made it so cosy. Alongside the most beautiful florals from Charlie at The Flower Fairies (Sarah’s favourite florist ever) it just looked so divine. The ceremony began with lighting a candle together, and finished with a sweeping first kiss. It was a gorgeous ceremony, full of lots of cheer and nervous giggles.

After the ceremony, we did some family photos, which we think are really important, but we do try to get them quickly so our couples can mingle and get on with partying! We also took some time out for photos, which we do love doing. We got some really special couples photos near the venue for an early golden hour – The sun went down quite early, but low light is one of our favourite things, and just looks incredible if you time it right. The weather was fresh and sunny, it was a stunning day despite being in November!

The reception

Zoe and Scott chose to have their wedding at Tythe Barn because it’s so cosy and relaxed, and the food is incredible. It was a bloomin’ good find if you ask us! Tythe Barn is a quirky barn, and it’s got such an beautiful feel to it, especially in the barn where the candles and fairy lights are glowing.

For the reception, the couple ate canapés and had drinks with their guests as the fires roared, and everyone really enjoyed it – It was sunny outside but pretty cold, and inside the fires kept everyone cosy and warm (beer probably helped too). Everyone was then called in for the wedding breakfast, which came in the form of carvery, served by nominated guests who entered in full ‘chef’ gear to eye of the tiger. It was a great way of serving food, and was hilarious! They had speeches after the mains and dessert, which were really touching.

The evening

After the cake cutting, everyone got straight on the dancefloor, and the evening got started. The DJ played all the best songs to get everyone dancing. The kids, however, were asleep by the end of the first dance!

The evening ended with a sparkler exit, which was just stunning – and perfect for a winter wedding. The whole wedding had such a chilled vibe, from the epic cake to the wonderful speeches. One of the nicest parts of the wedding was the first dance, because it was intimate and the pair smiled all the way through – This is so often a part of the wedding that couples are a little ‘worried’ about but we know when it happens, you don’t really remember that everyone is around you! The food was also a talking point of the wedding – Absolutely incredible! We’ve eaten at a lot of weddings and this place is easily in the top 3!

I loved this Tythe Barn, Launton wedding so much. If you’re getting married and looking for an awesome pair of wedding photographer, get in touch. Here are the photos!
